What comes to your mind when you see this Blue Lion? How do you feel about animals in general? When we think of the lion, also known as the King of the Jungle, we think of a Mighty and fearless animal. Especially, I am referring to the masculine lion.
Lions have a very fearsome appearance as seen through their mane. The mane is very attractive, like the fully grown beard of a mature man. Male lions are fearless, but they can also cause it upon those who try to confront them.
A few years ago I was watching a video about Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon. Mrs. Moon is a religious leader from Korea and her Community often speaks about the lunar calendar and the animal for that year. Her organizations often create mottoes and motivational speeches based on the Lunar calendar’s sacred animal. Mrs. Moon, who is a native of Korea, and is now in her 80’s, has a very special calling and mission. She’s tried to gather the people of the world together through a new religious movement. It’s never been easy but I do feel a connection to her.
The point that I wanna get across right now is that her Community + various organizations made a big deal about the year of the tiger. Then, in a cohesive and indirect manner, she dressed up in a very special way wearing black glasses with a yellow trim! Members of her holy community began singing songs like “The tiger is coming!” Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon was telling all of us she was the black tiger the lunar calendar was speaking about. This true mother, as she is known throughout the world, also spoke about Nostradamus and Tagore who were poets & astrologists from long ago. She and her followers believe that she is the fulfillment of many prophecies. May God and Jesus Christ always be with her!
Ferocious animals such as the Bengal or Siberian tiger are yet another example of truly wild animals, who do invoke a lot of fear. At the same time, these sacred beasts hold a mysterious type of affection for people What has been your experience looking at wild animals on television?
I’m asking these questions to catch your attention. But, the real purpose of this blog post is to have a moment of silence through which we can listen to our spirits and the whisper of our hearts as we gaze upon the “blue line of courage” you see above. This blue line of courage was designed by me through the Microsoft’s AI model.
I created this blue line of courage in the middle of a very challenging day, as I was thinking about my future and my faith in God. The Lion King, which is a very famous movie released by Disney in the 1990’s has a special scene with similar colors to what I’ve drawn above.
I’d like to write down some of the feelings I feel when I look upon this picture.
When I look at this blue lion, I feel a sense of repentance. I drew him during a time that I really needed support from someone. I vividly remember that scene from The Lion King where Simba spoke to his dad Mufasa. And I vividly remember his Father calling him and saying “Simba, remember who you are. You are my son.”
This scene reflects how I feel about my church and faith these days. I guess I’ve never spent a lot of time listening to my heart to define who I was. In the video below, Simba’s Father tells him to remember who he is but, in reality, Simba does not know.
If I were to put it in a few words, the picture above represents a sense of Hope, Courage, Bravery, and a journey of self-discovery.
